Student work on show at John Lewis

05 March 2018

Students from BA(Hons) Fashion, BA(Hons) Graphic Design and BA(Hons) Visual Communication have created work for a permanent in-store exhibition at John Lewis in Leeds

Leeds Arts University students were invited to submit work to form an exhibition in the store’s loved&found department, a stand-alone boutique showcasing Scandi-influenced contemporary brands.

James Prince, Head of Branch at John Lewis said:

“I’m delighted to support local young talent in this way. The students have made the brief their own and come up with some fantastic ideas to add inspiration to a hidden gem in our store – I’m seriously impressed.”

The loved&found range is a new concept to John Lewis stores, currently in Birmingham, Liverpool and Leeds. The new department has provided the store with a unique space to bring to life the artistic culture in Leeds, displaying work from the University’s students alongside an eclectic mix of beauty, fashion, homeware and gifts.

Chloe Bagge, BA (Hons) Fashion student said:

“It's an amazing opportunity to have my illustration featured in John Lewis; it’s a great platform for showcasing the work of emerging fashion designers and supporting local artists.”
