Students from BA (Hons) Animation, BA (Hons) Creative Advertising, BA (Hons) Graphic Design and BA (Hons) Illustration will take their work to London to take part in the D&AD New Blood festival from 5 – 6 July 2017.
The New Blood festival brings together emerging talent and industry professionals, with students from university courses around the UK exhibiting their work. This year Leeds College of Art students from BA (Hons) Animation, BA (Hons) Creative Advertising, BA (Hons) Graphic Design and BA (Hons) Illustration will have the opportunity to showcase their talent, network with industry and receive expert advice from those in the know.
The D&AD New Blood Awards will also be presented during the festival. These awards provide a platform for students and other new creatives to test their limits on real briefs, set by real clients with brand representatives and industry experts deciding which work will receive a coveted D&AD Pencil.
Second year BA (Hons) Creative Advertising student Lisi Davis has won an award for her ‘What do you want to be?’, in response to a brief set by The British Army. She has been invited to attend the New Blood Awards ceremony on Thursday 6 July, and now has the opportunity to apply for New Blood Academy. Her work will also be on display as part of the D&AD New Blood Awards Showcase at D&AD HQ, Cheshire Street from 5 July to 28 July 2017.
The D&AD New Blood festival is held the Old Truman Brewery from 5 – 6 July. Find out more here.
