05 July 2017

BA (Hons) Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern Design graduate Madeleine Whalley has been selected for Texprint 2017, a showcase for the best new talent in textile design.

Each year just 24 graduates from leading textile design courses are selected for Texprint, and given the opportunity to showcase their work to sponsors, press and industry professionals at leading yarn and textile exhibitions.

Texprint London is Texprint’s preview presentation, held in July, giving the selected graduates an opportunity to present their work, and receive mentoring from industry experts through a series of workshops.

The graduates will then go on to showcase their work at Première Vision Designs in Paris, a leading international spcialist textile design show. Maddie will be given her own professional stand the in the Textprint village, and will have the opportunity to meet international buyers and network with industry contacts. Her work will also be judged for the Texprint Awards, which will be announced during the event.

“I am so thrilled to have been selected for Texprint 2017. It’s an amazing opportunity and such an honour to have been chosen as one of the top graduate textile designers. It’s great to be exhibiting in London again after New Designers, and I can’t wait to show my collection at Première Vision Designs in Paris this September!
