Staff Present Research at UK and International Conferences

A summary of recent activity by research staff at Leeds College of Art.

Head of Research Sam Broadhead and Pedagogy Cluster Leader Karen Tobias Green presented their research ‘Out of the Mouths of Babes: Mature students and horizontal discourse in the art and design studio’ and ‘The Trouble with Voice’ respectively at the Troubling Narratives conference at Huddersfield University 19-20 June. 

Whilst Curatorship Cluster Leader Sharon Bainbridge delivered her abstract, ‘A ‘Novel’ in 15 words: Milliner seeks identity and authenticity with aspirations of craft and art practice within a niche. (After Felix Feneon 1861-1944)’ at Fashion In Fiction: Style Stories and Trans-global Narratives 2014, June 12, City University of Hong Kong. 

Sharon Hooper and Marianne Springham of BA (Hons) Visual Communication have also had their abstract, ‘The Tetley Feast’ accepted for Design with the other 90%:  changing the world by design, Cumulus Johannesburg Conference, and will present the abstract at the University of Johannesburg 22nd to 24th September 2014.
