Leeds College of Art’s Printed Textiles Team has just returned from the Evolution Trade Fair in Eindhoven!
The Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern Design team were exhibiting at Evolution Trade Fair in Eindhoven, Netherlands last week (23 – 25 Oct) which was also part of Dutch Design Week. For 9 days the Netherlands was centre of the design universe.
The team were showcasing the work of young Leeds College of Art graduates and current students on the Printed Textiles degree course to a new audience.
This is only the second year that Evolution Trade Fair has been running. The Fair hosts over 60 international exhibitors and welcomes over 2000 visitors over three days, many of which are buyers and manufacturers. More than half of the visitors are international buyers, from Europe as well as Japan, Korea, Russia and the US.
Only the best design studios in print, pattern and surface design present themselves at Evolution Trade Fair. Leeds College of Art was one of the 60 selected exhibited and was the only educational institute in the mix.
Duncan Harrison, Printed Textiles Programme Leader said:-
“The Evolution Trade Fair is a truly international event. It’s a great achievement to be selected and as the only education institution present, it reaffirms our status as an industry facing programme and College.”
