15 December 2015

Our BA (Hons) Photography students have been specially selected to exhibit exceptional photographs at Leeds Town Hall as part of the British Art Show 8 currently in Leeds until 5 January 2016.

Being There is the title of their exhibition. The exhibition is on until Tuesday 5 January at Leeds Town Hall on the Staircase Gallery exhibition space (which is the left hand staircase from ground floor to first floor when entering the building from the side entrance on Calverley Street).

Regardless of the price of your kit, or how artistic your eye: ‘being there’ is not always something we can rely on. With the rise of citizen photojournalists comes a more real need for photographers to either be there, or utilise what borrowed moments they can.
