Current MA Creative Practice student Mikkel Ullah has created an entire clothing collection working in collaboration with Voir Fashion and DJ/popstar Tom Zanetti.
The aim of the collaboration was to kick-start the #IAMVOIR project and the results are stunningly vibrant and unique, see Mikkel’s work below.
Artist Mikkel graduated in 2016 with a first class BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art, which she also studied for at Leeds College of Art. Voir Fashion picked out Mikkel’s work at the College’s end of year show last summer and they absolutely loved her style. They knew then that they had to work with her.
Mikkel takes her influences from life, art, fashion and particularly her focus is about bringing it ‘back to the street’. Her canvas can be anything or anyone.
“I did quite a lot of research on Tom Zanetti’s lyrics before I set out the colours of that I wanted to do really… it was important to put a personal edge to this because it was the first collaboration I’ve done with a celebrity and I think fusing his lyrics with my work was really important.” Mikkel
