Five Leeds Arts University alumni have been selected to exhibit in the prestigious One Year On at New Designers 2017.
One year on is a marketplace for young, entrepreneurial designers in their first year of business.
Ben Craven, Theo Riviere, and Jenna Coulthard who graduated with BA (Hons) Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern Design in 2015 and Katy Welsh, who graduated in 2016, will be exhibiting in Part 2 from 5-8 July 2017. Sally Cooke, who graduated 2016 and has recently completed the MA Creative Practice, will be exhibiting in Part 1 from 28 June-1 July 2017.
Exhibitors go through a selection process, and are chosen on the strength of their work, flair and quality of product. One Year On gives buyers the opportunity to buy directly from the selected designers and invest in the iconic furniture, fabric, jewellery and ceramics of the future.
Every year, the New Designers exhibition brings together design education, design consumers and the design industry to celebrate and recognise and the next generation of graduate designers. Leeds Arts University final year students will also be exhibiting in Part 1 of New Designers.

Katy Welsh said:
“I felt very excited to have been chosen as an exhibitor at One Year On, it had been one of my personal aims for my first year as an independent maker. It's a great motivation for me to continue to create personal work and develop my brand, and I am being really well supported by the staff running the show who mentor all the exhibitors through the process.”
