Recent Leeds College of Art BA (Hons) Photography graduate Karen Rangeley has won top place in the Royal Photographic Society Photobook Competition.
Karen's photobook “Be=f(P,E)” was her final year project whilst studying at the College and documented a Yorkshire textile factory, Karen says:
'I’m fascinated with the lives of people around me and my camera gives me an excuse to explore their worlds. Funnily enough, there are no people in this series of images, as I decided to photograph instead the work and social spaces of the employees and the traces they leave behind them.'
Karen’s work will feature in the first RPS Photobook exhibition at Fenton House until 28th November 2014 and in the exhibition catalogue which you can view below.
