Between October and December 2014, our junior research fellow Bianca Elzenbaumer/Brave New Alps conducts fieldwork in Warsaw, Poland as part of her participatory action research project Precarity Pilot.
In collaboration with the Centre for Contemporary Art Zamek Ujazdowski and the Polish National Centre for Culture, Elzenbaumer is in the middle of running a series of workshops for designers, artists and architects that explore inventive strategies to deal with issues of precarious labour within the creative industries. The knowledge co-produced through these workshops will feed into an online platform bringing together practical and theoretical tools for designers wanting to improve their working conditions and individual and collective ways of organising. The website will go live in January 2015.
