04 July 2018

Graduating students from BA (Hons) Fine Art have won the award for ‘Best Collective’ at the Free Range Awards 2018

The Free Range Awards were introduced in 2016 to support emerging UK talent. A panel of industry experts selecting an individual winner, two runner’s up and the best collective. Leeds Arts University students were selected as the best collective for their end-of-year show SYZYGY, presenting the work of BA (Hons) Fine Art graduates in a range of media; including painting, sculpture, printmaking, installation, drawing and photography.

Further success came for individual graduates with the overall winner going to Jasper Pedyo, runner-up to Jenn Jordan and a special commendation to Connor Shields.

Free Range is the annual fine art showcase for emerging artists and creative graduates, providing them with a platform to exhibit beyond university. The 2018 exhibition was held from 6 – 9 July at The Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane.
