BA (Hons) Fine Art student Josh Newsome has been shortlisted for the New Light Prize Exhibition 2017.
Josh is now in the running for awards including a £10,000 first prize, with winners set to be announced on 17 November.

Work by about 60 shortlisted entrants will be displayed at the Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle, Huddersfield Art Gallery, Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery in Carlisle and London’s Bankside Gallery.
The competition is held every two years and promotes the work of artists with a connection to the North of England.

Founded in 2010, New Light supports both well-known and emerging artists, with the previous competition entries viewed by 42,500 people across the venues, resulting in sales of more than £55,000.
