Fine art graduates impress Aon

15 April 2016

The creative talents of seven fine art graduates from Leeds College of Art have been spotted by leading global provider of risk management services, Aon plc.

On 24 May 2016 there will be an awards evening and live auction of their work, which has been on exhibition at Aon’s headquarters in London for almost one year.

In August 2015 Aon launched their Community Art Award to coincide with the opening of their brand new global headquarters in the iconic Leadenhall building in the heart of London.

Aon’s Art Committee selected pieces of art work from Leeds College of Art and two other leading art schools (Glasgow and Manchester) to showcase in their client suite - viewed by clients, colleagues and visitors.

Josephine Wilson, Steven Ellis, Checka Levi Morenos, Harriet Galilee, Julie Kennedy, Danielle Whitaker, and Isabelle Gee from the College’s BA (Hons) Fine Art degree were all selected.

All of the students have a chance of winning two prizes at the awards evening:

  • £5,000 Aon Community Art prize, judged by an independent panel, will be awarded to the most promising student.

  • £2,000 colleague prize voted for by Aon employees.

The awards will be announced at the awards evening on 24th May, where there will also be a live auction of their work, with all proceeds going to the students.
