A body of work by final year BA (Hons) Fashion Photography student Jordan Lambert has been featured in renowned style magazine The Face.
I Wish You Well is a series of family-focussed photographs curated by Jordan following the third national lockdown. His project aims to celebrate the joy in Black British culture in the North of England by shining a light on significant life events such as weddings, birthdays and funerals at a time when for most of us these events had become almost none-existent due to the pandemic.
The series features photographs of important events in Jordan’s family life, with images of his mum, siblings, grandparents, uncles and friends attending weddings, funerals and birthday parties since the early 1980s. He hopes one day to turn this project into a physical publication.
Originally published in 1980s London, The Face was relaunched as a digital publication and quarterly print magazine in 2019. Jordan contacted the magazine with his project as they are keen to feature the work upcoming artists within the creative industries. He felt his project resonated with the ethos of the magazine, and clearly, they agreed! See the full feature here and more of Jordan’s work here.
