Fashion Course Leader provides consumer advice to shoppers

29 November 2018

Sam Hudson-Miles, BA (Hons) Fashion Design Course Leader, will appear on consumer affairs programme ‘Shop Smart, Save Money’ advising shoppers on how and where to buy clothes for the best fit.

Sam was asked to appear as an advisor to support an investigation by the production team True North, which revealed the disparity across clothing sizes from six leading fashion brands – Next, Marks & Spencer, Topshop, H&M, Primark and ASOS.

To explore the differences, the programme asked three models (of different dress sizes) to try on a similar outfit from each shop. Sam then shows consumers how they they can check the quality and fit of each item.
