Endings Beginnings: The first graduating cohort of BA (Hons) Creative Writing

They have been wonderful students and are all talented writers. Their work in this anthology, Endings Beginnings tells part of that story. However, I wish you had been able to share, as I have, along with our great team, the joy, the frustration, the humour, the realisations and lightning bolts, and the sheer, rigorous hard work that has gone into shaping these people. All of them have stepped well beyond their comfort zones and have been challenged to reflect and analyse, to explore context, audience and environment and to consider the sheer confusion of being human.

This anthology, from graduating BA (Hons) Creative Writing students at Leeds Arts University, represents the end of three years of exploration across poetry, prose, scriptwriting and hybrid forms as well as fruitful collaboration with finer artists, musicians, photographers, illustrators, fashion branders, animators and comic artists. Extracts explore environment, history, contemporary life, and self. This rich collection of beginnings only alludes to their many possible ends.
