Course Leader for BA (Hons) Creative Writing, Karen Tobias-Green, discusses her recent reviewing of the first Leeds literature festival.
Karen Tobias-Green has reviewed, amongst other events, the recent Carriageworks production of Tony Harrison’s seminal poem V.
“V is a challenging, difficult work, written like a eulogy, delivered like a call to arms, and covering the first Leeds Literature Festival has been a real pleasure." said Karen.
"The quality of performers, writing and venues has shown what Leeds is capable of as a city of culture, language, and creativity. Local, regional, national and international performers have brought a rich, challenging and engaging programme to Leeds, and the ripples from this festival continue in the wide range of contact that have been made and projects spawned.”
