Second year Extended Diploma in Creative Practice students will be holding a pop-up exhibition and art market from 2 - 4pm on Thursday 27 January at Leeds Kirkgate Market.
Conscious Creatives Exhibition 2022 will feature a diverse range of student work, including a collaborative paste-up by graphic communication students, proposals for site-specific artworks by fine artists, sustainable 3D design solutions and ethically minded fashion and textiles designs. The students will also be selling their own work in an art market, giving visitors a chance to buy some amazing work from talented artists and designers at the start of their careers.

The exhibition forms part of the Extended Diploma's ‘Conscious Creatives’ program, which involves students from graphic communication, fashion and textiles, 3D design and fine art exploring how they can use their creativity to create a more sustainable world; environmentally, socially and economically.

Katie Holmes, Course Leader said:
“Sustainability is a vital consideration for art and design and something we encourage our students to take seriously in all their work. The ‘conscious creativity’ in this exhibition shows that these emerging artists and designers are determined to use their talent to make the world a better place.
“It’s great to show this work at Leeds Kirkgate Market - to be part of the community there and in amongst the creative buzz of local, independent businesses”
