Anthony Earnshaw Bursary Awarded

The Anthony Earnshaw Bursary 2018 was awarded to Anca Lowe, an Access to HE Diploma student, who received the a cash prize of £312.50 on the strength of her Drawing a Day project.

Runners up were fellow students Ben Wilkinson and Michaela Lesayova who each received a copy of The Imp of Surrealism, a monograph of the artist Anthony Earnshaw. 

Gail Earnshaw introduced the awards with a few words about her late husband, and met with the students to chat about their work.

 

The Anthony Earnshaw Bursary was set up by artist Patrick Hughes in memory of his friend, the surrealist artist Anthony Earnshaw, in 2016. The bursary provides assistance towards costs for students studying Access to HE Diploma (Art & Design) at Leeds Arts University.
