Alumni and Supporters Fund bursaries have been awarded to three Undergraduate students at the University for 2019.
The bursaries were awarded to support travel and research for students for a project, placement or opportunity. They were made possible by donations made to the Alumni and Supporters Fund which was set up in 2015.
Isobel Harper is currently in her final year studying BA (Hons) Fine Art. During April of this year she embarked on her Pilgrimage Project. Jennifer Cobb graduated from the Textile Design course in 2019. Jennifer was offered a week placement at Degournay Studios in Chelsea in London, a high end, handmade wallpaper company. Jennifer was able to stay in London for the week to work in the design studio learning about the process of wallpapers design and distribution. In the studio she worked with the graphic designer by removing backgrounds from imagery needed for designs as well as assisting in planning for a photoshoot.
All three students have all expressed their gratitude to those who have supported the bursary fund, without which they would not have been able to access these opportunities.
