Thought Bubble Workshops for Young Creatives

Activities on the fringe of Leeds Thought Bubble Comic Con 2018:

Experimental superheroes (7 - 18 year olds)
Join some friendly students from the Leeds Arts University Illustration degree for an experimental workshop focusing on colour, texture and collage. Come along to this free drop in event to design and create your own awesome superhero! Materials will be provided.
Draw your own comic character (7 - 18 year olds)
Design and draw your own character, give them a name, some character traits and prepare their stories and adventures.
Design your own comic storyboard (7 - 18 year olds)
A story starts somewhere, in a room, in the park bring it all out of your imagination and sequence their life.
3D model making (7 - 18 year olds)
Render into a three dimensional character, give them form, expressions.
Contribute to the (possibly) largest page of a comic in Leeds (7 - 18 year olds)
Collaborate your artistry on what (might be) the largest comic page in town on that day: a floor-sized mega drawing.
All day drop-in session - Doctor Simpo Make-a-Monster construction kit (3 - 6 year olds)
Please note, you do not have to book a place for this activity
Have you ever read a book about or seen a cartoon about a monster and thought “I’d like a monster of my own”... Well now’s your chance! Come along to Vernon Street and pick up a Make-a-Monster kit! You may then display your monster as part of the Doctor Simpo, The Norms exhibition.
