On Saturday 9th May, The Leeds Arts Party comes to Leeds College of Art.
This event is led by a group of students from across the College in response to Bob and Roberta Smiths Art Party in Scarborough, 2013, offering fresh perspectives, facilitating new conversations, and keeping the campaign for the arts alive.
The Leeds Arts Party will highlight the positive impact the arts have on society, the economy, and its importance in our education system, whilst also looking at how creative thinking can assist in developing a sustainable future.
The event schedule includes:
- an inspirational programme of guest speakers
- engaging and inclusive arts workshops
- an arts market featuring independent artists and makers
- exhibitions showcasing the value of the arts
- curated conversations to stimulate discussion and debate
- plus live entertainment all day including music, spoken word and performance arts.
