Online Mature Learners May Day Creative Arts Workshops

30 April 2021

The online Mature Learners May Day Creative Arts Workshops are a Widening Participation initiative that is part of Leeds Arts University’s Access and Participation Plan, approved by the Office for Students (OfS).

The Progression team invite you to join us in these free activities. Four creative tutors will lead you through an exciting series of workshops, demonstrations and resources, to develop your creative practice at whatever stage you may be at.

The videos and downloadable instructions will guide you through a different creative theme in our four strands of activities:

  • Drawing – Observational still life drawing workshop with objects from around the home
  • Sculpture – Movement in the figure sculptural workshop
  • Photography – Abstract photography workshop and how to effectively edit your work digitally
  • Singing – Learn correct vocal techniques and the major pentatonic scale

Please email your completed application form to progression@leeds-art.ac.uk by Monday 26 April.

The course is very popular and numbers are limited, therefore applications are considered on an individual basis. Applicants from under-represented backgrounds or who live in an area of low participation in higher education will be prioritised.

We will email you to confirm whether you have gained a place on the course. An email will then be sent to you on Friday 30 April with a link to the workshops.
