Matt Hodson is Senior Lecturer in Illustration at Leeds Arts University currently studying towards an MA in Creative Practice.
Forwards Always presents seasonal observations through image and word. This body of work comprises 12 large-scale, screen printed fabric banners and a self-published book of poetry. Though the banners and poetry book can be seen as separate outcomes, they are connected by the same underlying principle: that their content emerged from an ongoing exploration of open mode, uninhibited play and improvisation.
This exhibition will coincide with Thought Bubble International Comics Festival, 18-24 September 2017.
Opening night (including poetry reading): Thursday 14 September 5-7pm
Refreshments will be provided and everyone is welcome. Booking not required.
