David Abrahams - Fashion and Still Life Photographer
David is originally from Leeds and chose to study the National Diploma in Graphic Design after leaving school as it offered modules in photography alongside the chance learn about the wider design process. During his time at University David enjoyed working to a brief and relished the opportunity to try out lots of different processes and methods, many of which he still revisits and uses in his work today as a Fashion and Still Life Photographer. Towards the end of his first year on the diploma his tutor recognised his talent for photography and helped give him as many opportunities to work with the medium as possible.
After leaving Leeds, David went on to study BA (Hons) Photography at University of Gloucestershire where he continued to study a broad range of photography techniques, styles and processes. After graduating from University, David took up the post as Head Photographer for the online shop Jules B, based in Newcastle, for a year. He then moved to London and was offered the position Head of Fashion Photography for Wellcom London at the market leading global advertising production and management company's UK branch. David worked for Wellcom for three years in this position, managing campaigns for clients such as Selfridges, LK Bennett and Jaegar. Now with a wealth of experience and contacts, David is working freelance from his base in London. He still regularly shoots for Jaeger and has recently added to his portfolio work for Ogilvy and client American Express.
