The BA (Hons) Comic & Concept Art offers students a professional understanding of studio and freelance practice, developing skills within a range of creative careers from concept art for the film and game industries, to comic art and self-published comics. Its transdisciplinary nature offers a space for students to explore comic and concept art holistically to become a versatile specialist.

In addition, you will support students using a range of digital and traditional approaches to Comic Art and Concept Art.
You will need the skills or have connections to build links with external employers, events, and opportunities for exhibiting student work. Working individually and as a member of a team you will deliver teaching within a variety of formats including lectures, seminars, workshops, peer reviews and individual tutorials.
You will be expected to have a broad understanding of historical and contemporary comic/concept art theory, practice, and related industries with an active specialist practice. Knowledge of Blender, 3D printing, and/or VR workflows are also desirable.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate specialist comic art and/or concept art skills and support critical thinking and reflective practice.
