Workshops will help you to develop your practical skills and tutorials offer the opportunity of 1:1s with your tutors to discuss your progress.
The role of the creative within fashion branding is to act as the ‘voice’ of a brand, to conceptualise, position, communicate and symbolically manage a brand; it’s a role that successfully visualises/materialises the philosophy, ambitions and lifestyle of a company or an individual, as a creative experience into an informed, coherent and appealing narrative. A wide variety of methods are employed in this process and students will have the opportunity to engage with and develop skills in: creative directing/styling, image making (photography, illustration, mixed media), fashion film, editorial copy, advertising, exhibition design, product development, visual merchandising and experiential campaigns. In addition the application of new technologies is increasingly influencing the industry, and students will therefore on the one hand study futurology and creative imagination to predict future ideas, and on the other learn practical skills including projection mapping, augmented reality (AR), mobile technology application design, digital and social media platform communications, to creatively turn these future-facing ideas into reality. The course will impart these skills from the outset of your educational journey, enabling you to develop your individual practice in creating strategies and skills that move beyond the expected, and thus elevating you within a highly competitive employment environment.
