Amber SmithDirector of the internationally recognised Leeds Print Festival and an active member of the Society for Research into Higher Education, Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Graphic Design Amber is dedicated to graphic design and the exploration and appreciation of print techniques.

She holds a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design, a MA in Design Theory with a focus on learning organisations, and is currently working on a PhD in the post- print, post-digital era of art school education.

She brings both experience and passion to her students, working as an external examiner for University of the Arts London and Bradford School of Art. Equally valuable to her courses are the collaborations she develops with designers and collectives such as Pigeon Rally, The Print Project and The Beautiful Meme.

Amber has recently had work published on printmaking and takes part in conferences on print production, design and theories and at Leeds Print Festival. Amber has previously won the D&AD In-book Poster award and a Roses Silver Award. She is committed to the idea of community, social responsibility and collaboration. In addition to her list of achievements within art and design, Amber is working towards being a session drummer for AC/DC.
