Graduate work goes on sale at Aon Community Art Awards 2018

Thirteen talented graduates from the Leeds Arts University’s BA (Hons) Fine Art and BA (Hons) Photography will have the opportunity to sell their work at auction thanks to support from a global provider of risk management services, Aon plc.

Aon’s Art Committee selected pieces of work from Leeds Arts University and two other leading art schools, Glasgow School of Art and Manchester School of Art, to showcase in their client suite at their global headquarters in London.

On 17 May 2017 there will be an awards evening and live auction of the graduate work, with all proceeds going to the artists. The awards evening is a culmination of Aon’s 12 month mentoring programme to assist with the transition from university to the commercial art world.

All of the students are in with a chance of winning two prizes at the awards evening:

  • £5,000 Aon Community Art prize, judged by an independent panel, will be awarded to the most promising student
  • £2,000 colleague prize voted for by Aon employees.

Aon launched their Community Art Award in August 2015 to coincide with the opening of their brand new global headquarters in the iconic Leadenhall building in the heart of London.
