It’s encouraging to know our students are satisfied with the College and the experience, opportunities and education they gain whilst studying with us. As we move towards becoming a specialist arts university we continue to strive for excellence in teaching, research and creativity that will support our students and the creative economy of the region.”
Founded in 1846 as the Leeds Government School of Art and Design, Leeds College of Art has contributed significantly to the development of art education in Britain and across the world for over 170 years. We are proud of the vibrant and dynamic culture that has developed over that time, and are excited to embark on the next stage of our journey. Building works have recently commenced on a new £22 million state-of-the-art expansion allowing the College to offer a more diverse mix of courses, and we await confirmation of our status as the only specialist arts university in the North of England.
