Our Students’ Union is here for our students!
We want you to have an amazing time here at College! We want to help you settle in quickly within our friendly and welcoming community, taking advantage of everything we have to offer!
Our Students' Union is constantly developing and growing ever bigger, and we work hard to represent everyone’s views effectively and support you during your time here with us.
The Students' Union is the voice of our students across the College, the city and the nation. We are run by students, for students, to look after students’ interests.
The Students’ Union mission to help make sure every single student is represented throughout the College. Students in each course and programme elect their own Student Reps who provide a valuable link to College staff and management; enabling suggestions, opinions and the voice of students to be heard.
Each spring, we hold the Students’ Union Elections. Elected students from across the College make up the Students’ Union team, working together to improve the experience of student life here at College. As your SU, the team will listen to your ideas and opinions; organising campaigns, events, activities & societies that you want to get involved in.
All students are encouraged to get involved and helps us create positive changes here at College!
However much you choose to interact, your voice will be heard!
Whether you feel excited or nervous about Freshers’ Week, our calendar of activities and events will help you jump straight into College life and allow you to get to know your fellow students and this brilliant city.
These events are as diverse as our students, so there’s something for everyone!
Every year we try to get more out of Leeds for our students. Our links with some of the city’s finest shops, bars and businesses mean you get great deals, up-to-date news on attractions and every opportunity to relax and have fun.
Events continue throughout the year with parties held at Christmas along with end of the year celebrations.
If you’ve got an interest and want to get other students involved, we’re the people to talk to!
We can help you get a society up and running in no time.
We currently cater for all sorts, from the Film Society to Life Drawing, Hula Hooping to Raise and Give, there is something for everyone. The team is an enthusiastic group, open to any idea - so make sure you tell us yours! Check out some of the societies on offer on the Students’ Union website.
Our Students' Union is affiliated to the National Union of Students (NUS).
The NUS campaigns nationally on student issues ranging from tuition fees to safer accommodation and fair access to education.
They also provide our staff and Students’ Union team and Student Representatives with excellent training and support.
The NUS Extra card is also a great way for students to take advantage of over 200 exclusive deals and discounts online, and now comes with 1 year FREE ISIC un-locking over 42,000 international discounts.
