We understand that moving away from home to live in student accommodation is almost as important as finding the right place to study.

The majority of our accommodation is offered to first year students on our undergraduate degree courses and a certain number of rooms are allocated to foundation diploma students moving in from outside the area. We offer accommodation at either Carlton Hill or Liberty Park, alternatively some students go into shared housing.

The benefits of staying in the accommodation we offer are:

  • You'll be living with other creative students from Leeds Arts University
  • You'll be living in shared flats, so you'll get to know more students from across all of our degree courses
  • Our accommodation is well located so you can be sure you'll be getting the most out of Leeds from when you first arrive
  • We ensure the accommodation meets the high standards you expect
  • Accommodation is safe and secure
  • Rent costs are reasonable, the quality and facilities at the accommodation exceeds other properties of a similar cost in other institutions

Neither Carlton Hill or Liberty Park are owned or managed by the University, however we have excellent relationships with both accommodation suppliers and a guaranteed number of rooms are allocated for our students.

How to apply for accommodation

Applying for your accommodation is very simple. Once you have received an offer of a place on our course, you will also be sent an accommodation preference form. You need to return the completed form to our Student Welfare team, then you will then be sent out a contract and deposit request. Your accommodation is only secure once you have returned these to the accommodation provider.

We do not guarantee a place in either Carlton Hill or Liberty Park, though most students who wish to live with us are able to do so. The sooner you return your accommodation preferences to us the more likely you are to get the accommodation you want.

If you have any questions about accommodation, please contact Student Welfare on 0113 202 8111 or info@leeds-art.ac.uk.
