You can also see us at the City Centre Site in Vernon Street between 11:00am and 1:00pm between Monday and Friday.
What does the Student Advice Team do?
They’re here to help potential and enrolled students make the most of their time at the College, by offering impartial and confidential information, advice and guidance.
Please feel free to contact them at any time, from before you decide to apply right through to when you’re studying with us, to discuss your needs or any queries you may have. Prospective students often have questions about finances, accommodation and qualifications; when it comes to details about the courses themselves, the team can put you in touch with the relevant teaching staff.

Careers information, advice and guidance
The team includes a student guidance officer who can discuss your future plans and help you make decisions about further study, employment and other opportunities. There are also careers information sections in both of the College libraries, which include:

Welfare and financial guidance
The term 'welfare' covers a range of issues relating to awards and grants, social security benefits, childcare and health; in fact, anything which may affect your well-being or prevent you from making the most of your time at the College. Speaking with someone in Student Advice may make your difficulties easier to resolve.
Personal counselling
Student life isn't always plain sailing, but you can come to us for a confidential talk about any personal difficulties you may be experiencing. Whether it’s a family or relationship problem, or financial hardship, we’ll listen and we’ll try to help. We can also put students in touch with specialist counselling services in Leeds.
