What are the deadlines for applications?

Applications for the Foundation Diploma should generally be received by 15 January. There is no set deadline for other further education courses, but we recommend you submit your application as soon as possible. For all degree courses, you must follow the UCAS deadlines.

How much will my course cost?

Following the changes the Government have made to the way higher education will be funded, Leeds College of Art are to charge £8,250 per year for full time higher education home and EU students for 2012 entry.

What financial support is available to part-time higher education students?

Talk to our Student Advice Team. They’ll be happy to help you find out if assistance is available with tuition fees, and they can discuss the Hardship Fund with you.

When it comes to repaying loans, what happens if I’m not earning?

If you enrolled prior to September 2012 you won’t have to begin repaying your loan until you’re earning £15,000 per year or more.

If you enrolled from September 2012 onward you won't have to begin repaying your loan until you're earning £21,000 per year or more.

Can I get a College Higher Education Award if I’m from Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland?

What additional financial support is available to me?

There are several Allowances and grants that may be available to you.  Please visit www.direct.gov.uk or speak to our Student Advice Team for further information.

What extra financial help is available from the College?

If you run into money difficulties, our Student Advice Team can offer you support, ranging from budgeting tips to helping you apply for a loan or grant from the Access to Learning Fund. This Hardship Fund is available from the College to students who are experiencing financial difficulty. It is there to give financial help to students whose access to a course, or ability to complete a course, might be affected by their financial difficulties. Hardship Fund payments can be used towards course-related costs such as books, equipment or travel, or for general living costs, such as rent.
