Leeds College of Art is strongly committed to its programme of outreach activities that raise the aspirations of marginalised learners through widening participation. This ethos is embedded within our mission statement and our values.
Each year we engage with young people, mature learners and communities as part of the agreed Access Agreement between Leeds College of Art and the Office for Fair Access (OFFA)
We also maintain sustained partnership working with Schools, colleges and communities to provide current information advice and guidance towards higher education in the creative sector and provide support for the progression of individuals who may experience barriers to their journey into the creative industries as a career.
The Leeds College of Art Access Agreement for 2013/14 is here
Staff and students deliver a range of activities with our partner Schools and Colleges. The range of activities range from Easter & Summer Schools, the After School Club, taster sessions for primary, secondary, further education and mature learners and mentoring, campus tours and presentations.
These activities provide the participants with a look into the programmes of study that we deliver and an insight into the creative student experience.
