With a population of around 750,000, Leeds is the ‘capital’ of Yorkshire. There’s an amazing shopping quarter, and fantastic nightlife—but it also has quiet spots, it’s close to great countryside, and life here is comparatively affordable.
There’s loads of historical and contemporary culture, and sport is also high on the agenda—not least because we’re home to world champions, cup-holders and major teams in rugby, football and cricket.
