This could mean that your application is held until the end of May before it is considered.

What happens when you apply

We think it is very important that we assess your creative potential and ‘fit’ for the programme you are applying for. Once we receive your application form through UCAS our admissions team checks that your qualifications or predicted grades meet our entry requirements. If you meet our entry requirements your application is moved on to the next stage which is either submitting a MyWork task or being invited directly to interview.

MyWork Task

Some of our programmes require you to submit a pre-interview MyWork task which will be used to determine whether you will be invited for interview.  Our admissions team will write to you with a request to complete the MyWork task before interviews are arranged.

You complete the MyWork task by submitting a number of images and text online. If you are required to complete the MyWork task full details will be sent to you in the post. The University will assess all online submissions within 3-5 working days of receipt and make decisions as to which applicants will progress to the interview stage.

If you do not submit your images and text by the specified deadline the University will assume that you no longer wish to be considered for the course and your application will be withdrawn.

Your MyWork task is really important, how you respond to the brief will influence whether or not you are invited to interview.

Direct to Interview

Some programmes do not require you to complete the MyWork task prior to interview. In this case, you may be invited direct to interview.

Interview

Interviews take place throughout February and March. Applicants are invited to interview via UCAS Track and normally receive at least 5-10 days notice. For more information about how to prepare and what happens at interview see our interview guide.

Portfolio

You will need to bring a portfolio of your practical work to interview, read our advice on how to put together a great portfolio. We also run Portfolio Development Courses.

Entry into other years

We do not consider applications for direct entry into year 3/level 6.

We are not currently accepting applications to year 2/level 5.

Clearing/UCAS Extra

If our courses are open to UCAS Extra or Clearing they will be listed on UCAS course search.

Validation

Our BA (Hons) programmes are validated by Leeds Arts University.
